Over the quieter spring months of 2020 we began covering the beloved songs of Michael Hurley. There were no better songs to weave our solitudes and lift our spirits, our stuck-at-home times turned Snock-at-home times. Each of us picked a few favorites and recorded them in our homes, sending files back and forth, then contributing parts on one another's picks in true Winos-fashion (democratic chaos). And the more we did, the more fun we had and the more we wanted to do.

Later that summer we gathered at now-defunct Shoebox Studios to track a few additions live and mix together with Ross at the helm. We haven't shared them 'til now because we needed to check in with Snock himself, of course, to whom we sent a CD via snail mail. Months passed, and the following spring we reached out to a friend of his who passed on this note from MH:

"The Styrafoam Winos sent me their collection last year and there was nothing on or in the package to tell me how to respond."

Oops. A couple years and a few back-n-forths through various mediums later, we finally connected thanks to the heroic Instagram account @503catinatree, a kind soul who rescues cats from trees in the PNW. We'd like to thank them for connecting us with Snock so that we could get his stamp of approval on sharing these songs with you.
